Founded casually in 2006 and formally incorporated in 2008, R-SPEC exists to facilite discussion of speculative literature and related topics. Since Fall 2008, I have served as a member of the Board of Directors and as the Chief Technology Officer. (During the 2008-2009 term, I also served as Chief Marketing Officer.) During that time I have been responsible for developing and maintaining the R-SPEC website [1], and have contributed my skills and experience to our effort to publish an anthology of speculative fiction [2] concerning the Rochester area as the city approaches the bicentennial anneriversary of its founding.
